PartTimeZombie This is a great debut from a group of very talented musicians.
As other have noted it has lots of Progressive Rock touches, with hints of jazz. I would like to note the clear links to 1960's Psychedelic Rock as well which is lots of fun.
I look forward to what these guys do next. I hope they spend a little time figuring out their sound and move away from the "look how fast we can play" bit because when they take their time to make their point they're amazing. Favorite track: Fire & Water.

TheEliteExtremophile This Norwegian act plays a high-energy, technical, and accessible variety of progressive rock. Hints of classic prog are melded seamlessly with more modern sensibilities, including flashes of indie rock, dashes of jazz, and a healthy sprinkling of math rock.

paliojen_black Fabulous progressive jam! With an unbelievable pedigree, WIZRD exudes a lot of confidence with this debut. I usually go on and on about how gonzo I am for the tight, intricate music, but the vocals on this album I found to be really warm, fun and uplifting and a real highlight I don't always get (or look for) on a prog rock album. I gotta give these guys 10/10 for fun factor alone! Favorite track: Lessons.

WIZRD is a Norwegian rock band that dips its toes in all kinds of genres. From rock and indie to jazz and prog, WIZRD knows all the rules but deliberately break them.

Formed at the Jazz Conservatory in Trondheim, WIZRD's four-piece line-up consists of Hallvard Gaardløs (Spidergawd, Draken and more) on bass and lead vocals, Karl Bjorå (Megalodon Collective and more) on guitar and vocals, Vegard Lien Bjerkan (Soft Ffog and more) on keyboards and vocals, Axel Skalstad (Krokofant, Soft Ffog and more) on drums.

Since 2020 the band has been working on their debut album, produced by Norwegian film score composer and Jaga Jazzist drummer Martin Horntveth. The album was recorded in Studio Paradiso in Oslo by Marcus Forsgren (Bror Forsgren, Jaga Jazzist) and Horntveth. Bergen-based musician and producer Matias Tellez (Young Dreams, Girl in Red) has mixed the album.

“Seasons” is a groovy, catchy and progressive masterclass, with beautiful vocal harmonies, awesome melodies, quirky jazz grooves and a rock’n’roll drive to die for.

This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all. After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass. PartTimeZombie
